Hi there my dorm room buddies…

This may be a little “off topic” but then again, when has that stopped me before?

I got an email from Sara, my buddy at The Fresh Air Fund about an urgent need that they have.

Who or what is the Fresh Air Fund?

Just about one of the greatest non-profits around (in my humble opinion )

Their mission in life is to provide free summer vacations to New York City children from low-income communities.

They’ve been doing this since 1877 (that’s right - 1-8-7-7) and more than 1.7 million New York City children have enjoyed free summer vacations through their efforts.

Thanks to them, nearly 10,000 New York City children enjoy free Fresh Air Fund programs annually. In fact, last year almost 5,000 children visited volunteer host families in suburbs and small town communities across 13 states from Virginia to Maine and Canada.

And that’s where they need YOUR help.

If you have room in your home - - and in your heart - - they would love for you to be a host family this summer. Again, as long as you live in the Northeast states from VA to ME you can be part of something VERY special.

Hey - didn’t someone say that we Americans need to help each other more - to be a part of something larger than ourselves?
(and isn’t that someone now in the White House? )

So now you have a chance to step up to the plate and do your part. Open your heart and your home to a child who will always remember the wonderful experience of a summer vacation - that YOU made possible.
